Lok Choon Hong holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from University of Malaya and Master of Laws Degree from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom specializing in intellectual property law. Lok also holds an executive MBA degrees from INSEAD, France/Singapore and EMBA from Tsinghua University, Beijing,China.

Lok is a qualified lawyer (non-practising) for Malaysia and Singapore and a registered trademark, patent, and ID agent in Malaysia. He specializes in all aspects of intellectual property registration, transfer, licensing, commercialization, enforcement and advisory work and is actively involved in IP consultancy for clients in the Asean and China regions for the past fifteen (15) years. He is the founder director of Global IP Southeast Asia Pte Ltd, an intellectual property rights consultancy firm with offices based in Singapore, Malaysia Philippines and Brunei with representative offices in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. Apart from IP consultancy works, Lok is also actively involved in venture / angel capital investment in IP based companies. He is the founding president of Association of Intellectual Property Entrepreneurs and Organisations (AIPO), an Asean based NGO established to promote monetization and commercialization of intellectual property assets.

Lee Jia Ee is a registered patent, trademark and industrial design agent in Malaysia She is a Partner at Global IP Southeast Asia (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (GIP ASEAN, Malaysia) and currently overseeing the operation of Global IP Southeast Asia Pte Ltd (GIP ASEAN, Singapore). She holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Hons) degree with a major in Biomechanics from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

In her practice, she handles IP prosecution matters and provides strategies on IP related matters for multinational and local corporations. She is an experienced and active IP seminar trainer for multinational corporations, public listed companies, and universities in Southeast Asia.

Patrick Chow graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1980. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1981.

After a year of being a legal assistant he joined an established firm as an associate. In 1985 he set up his firm in the name of Patrick Chow & Associates handling both civil and criminal work. The main areas of his practice include conveyancing, claims recovery, family matters, intellectual property and civil litigation. The firm was in active practice for more than 27 years.

Patrick Chow has for many years been a part time lecturer in Company Law and Commercial Laws for participants sitting for their ACCA qualifications. He was also a course instructor in Company Law courses organized by the Extramural Department of the National University of Singapore in the early years of his practice.

He held directorship in PINTAS Pte Ltd, a boutique firm providing intellectual property service in the registration of patents, copyright, trade marks and industrial design. Patrick Chow has filed numerous patent applications in Singapore for a number of Malaysian Universities and research institutes. He actively promotes awareness of intellectual property by delivering many talks in Chinese and English to great number of small and medium enterprises in various organizations including the Chinese Chambers of Commerce. Patrick Chow is conversant in both Chinese and English languages.

Mr. John Hepworth is a qualified UK and European patent attorney for over thirty five years. He is the founding partner of Hepworth Lawrence Bryer and Bizley and now “of counsel” to Hepworth Browne. Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Litigation Committee and the European Patent Institute. He also acted as instructing attorney for numerous litigated intellectual property cases.

Mr Ornthanalai is the Managing Director of GIP Thailand. He is a registered patent agent in Thailand with a career of over 15 years in the fields of international business development, technology transfer and intellectual property (IP) management. He holds a Master of Industrial Engineering and MBA from Tokyo Institute of Technology and Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to that, he was a Neuroscientist working in the fields of neural circuit pathways and drug addiction at Riken Brain Science Institute.

In addition to Thailand, he has spent the majority of his life in Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, the United States, and Singapore and has accumulated a lot of international business exposure in the process.

Ms Srichanil is a registered patent agent in Thailand. She is the Head of Patent Practices in GIP Thailand. She holds a Master of Science degree in Aquatic Sciences from Burapha University. Apart from handling patent prosecution matters for clients, she also provides customized intellectual property education, advisory and consulting services to clients.

Mr Nakprang is the Head of Trademark Practices in GIP Thailand. He graduated from University of Phayao with a Bachelor degree in Political Science. In his practice, he handles trademark registration and renewal matters for local and foreign companies as well as providing general IP consultations to clients.

Marodin Sijabat holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Universitas Darma Agung and has admitted to the Bar in 1994. Sijabat is a licensed advocate with strong expertise in Intellectual Property, Company Law and other aspects of Commercial Law in Indonesia and has 20 years' experience. He has represented numerous Japanese clients, mostly for trademark infringement cases. Sijabat's area of practise for GIP Indonesia will be overseeing all aspects of Intellectual Property prosecution and litigation. His professional associations include PERADI (Persatuan Advokat Indonesia/Indonesian Advocates Association).

DO Thi My Lien is Director of HAVIP Intellectual Property Co., Ltd. She holds a BA in English and an MBA in Economics of Vietnam National University. In addition, she has attended many IP courses, such as: Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Intellectual Property (2004) ); WIPO, General Course on Intellectual Property (2006); WIPO, the Advanced course on Copyright and Related rights (2007); JAPAN, Training course for Advanced IP Practitioners (2007); EPO, Training course on Patent Drafting Techniques (2008). She has experienced in IP works for more than 12 years, and joined HAVIP in 2005. Her professional associations include membership in the International trademark Association (INTA); Asian Patent Attorneys' Association (APAA); International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

LE Xuan Thinh is the representative partner of HAVIP Intellectual Property Co., Ltd. Before joining HAVIP, he worked as a technical consultant in project construction, mineral mining and industrial equipment. He holds a B.S. in Metallurgy from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (1993), BA in English and Chinese from Taiwan National Chengchi University (1997). He also earned an MBA degree from Columbia Southern University (2005). In addition, he has completed General Course on IP WIPO (2008). He is in charge of translation Department, he can translate patent specifications in relation to chemistry, machinery and industrial equipments from English, Chinese into Vietnamese and vice versa. Additionally, he is responsible for Business Development Department. His professional associations include membership in the Asian Patent Attorneys' Association (APAA).

TRINH Quoc Trung holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Then, he earned a BA in English and an MBA in Law. Besides, he has also attended many IP Courses: IP Law course of NOIP and HCM University of law; IP course in Japan (2008); Training course on Patent Drafting Techniques (2008). Trung has 8 years of experience in IP field. He handles preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of machinery, electricity, and biology as well as preparation and prosecution design applications. He has drafted many patent specifications. He is also representative of many Companies in Vietnam in filing Patent application in Thailand, in Cambodia and in China. His professional associations include membership in the Asian Patent Attorneys' Association (APAA).

Tatsuzo Higashikawa plays his role as a Corporate Advisor for GLOBAL IP SOUTHEAST ASIA(GIP ASEAN). His activities have been making important contribution on the stronger mutual relationship among the member offices of United GIPs, and GIP ASEAN is one of the member offices of United GIPs.

Tatsuzo Higashikawa holds a BS in Agricultural Science from Kinki University and an MBA from the University of Wales, and has also received 1-year academic training at the University of Kiel (CAU), Germany. Mr. Higashikawa had worked for two Kyoto-based companies specializing in Japanese traditional handicrafts, before joining Shinjyu Global IP in 1991 as the General Manager. Mr. Higashikawa has been involved in the establishment of all member firms of United GIPs, and he is currently in charge of management matters within some member offices of United GIPs

He speaks English, Japanese and German.
